A pottery class

Our pottery art work

Today, for a change, we went out as a family and took part of a pottery class; a fundraiser that my daughter's school organized, so I took both kids and boy, was I bold! Adam behaved like a charm, he sat on his chair and loved what was going on around him. Yael, played with ceramic and made a mess of her hands and everything else while I did most of the art project. It was very cool. We made a hanukkiah for Hanukkah. It is a caterpillar that has 9 holes to put the little candles. A very refreshing idea, since most candle holders are always the same subjects. This one is so child like that Yael will get into the spirit of Hanukkah.

We had so much fun. In two weeks, we will be painting it because it had to be taken to the oven to be cooked. So next week we will be putting some colour to it. Adam must stay away for the paint because it is a little bit toxic if he gets close to it. Yael had so much fun!

Yesterday we hooked up Yael's new microphone and she and her dad had some sort of Karaoke time together while I was cooking dinner and videotaping them. It was hilarious, even Adam sang...

Then a friend of mine came to do a 3 minute video clip to surprise her friend on her birthday. Her husband will show the video to her and keep from her that her very best friend is really there in the other room. So while she sees this greeting video, she will be showing up in person to surprise her. Very nice idea! A very creative day!
